A 20-plus-year music educator, Kethrex draws inspiration from everywhere and anywhere. Searching through his playlist might take you from Shostakovich to Nine Inch Nails, to Miles Davis, Bela Fleck, King Crimson, and beyond. It’s this musical diversity that Kethrex uses to create unique musical ideas, both in his improvised Twitch streams and his albums.

An extensive background in percussion drives Kethrex. Rhythmic motifs flow throughout his music, often utilizing techniques like syncopated delay to add depth and complexity. But Kethrex is no stranger to harmonic development. Often incorporating dissonance and advanced chord structures to provide tension and release.

Rather than touring, Kethrex brings the studio to the audience through Twitch. The streams are improvisational, and the ideas that hold up in the moment are where new releases start.
